2. Data we process and why

Application delivery and security

When you visit the site, ordinary web-request data such as your IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security or diagnostic metadata may be processed to deliver the application, prevent abuse, maintain security, and diagnose failures.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage and real-user performance. This can include a page-load identifier, referrer, landing path, browser and device characteristics, resource timings, and performance measurements such as LCP, CLS, INP, and TTFB. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies, localStorage, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking for analytics.

Preferences stored on your device

The application stores functional preferences only after you actively select a language or click sound:

  • the selected language, in the first-party metruno-locale cookie.
  • the selected click sound, in localStorage under metruno-click-sound.

The cookie lets a later visit to the bare domain return to the language you requested. It lasts for one year unless you replace or remove it in your browser. It is not used for advertising or profiling.

The click-sound preference stays only on your device, is not transmitted by the application, and remains until you change it or clear the site data in your browser.

Theme and expanded Pulse Settings choices remain only in page memory. They are not kept across reloads. On load, the application follows your operating-system color preference. The application accesses localStorage to remember the click sound and to remove obsolete preference keys created by earlier versions.

3. Legal bases

We rely on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR to deliver and secure the service, diagnose technical problems, and measure aggregate performance. These activities are limited to what is necessary for a reliable, safe application. Functional device storage is used only after a language or click-sound choice and to provide those requested preferences.

4. Recipients and international transfers

Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, security, technical logging, and Web Analytics. Cloudflare generally processes relevant customer data for us under its Data Processing Addendum. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare states that its DPA incorporates applicable transfer safeguards, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The current Cloudflare DPA and incorporated safeguards are available at Cloudflare's DPA page. You may also contact us to request information about the safeguards relevant to metruno.me.

No Cloudflare Logpush destination is configured, so we do not send a separate copy of raw Cloudflare logs to an external log store.

5. Retention

We do not export or independently retain Cloudflare request and security logs. Any Cloudflare-side availability follows the active service and account settings and Cloudflare's applicable retention rules; this data is used only for operational and security needs. Cloudflare documents that unsampled Web Analytics beacon data is retained for seven days before aggregation and that dashboard history is available for the previous six months. The language cookie follows the period described above, the click-sound preference remains until it is changed or site data is cleared, and page-memory preferences end when the page is closed or reloaded.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), or with the competent authority where you live or work.

We respond to rights requests without undue delay and normally within one month. Because metruno.me has no user accounts or application database, we may hold no application-level record that can be linked back to you. We will assess each request individually.

7. Automated decisions and required data

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. You are not required to create an account or provide personal details to use the application. Basic network data is generated automatically when your browser requests the site.

8. Changes and language versions

We will update this notice if the application begins using new data, storage, providers, accounts, forms, payments, advertising, or other features that materially change the processing described here.

This notice is available in English and Polish. Both versions are intended to convey the same information. You may contact us and exercise your privacy rights in either language.

The rules for using the application are available in the Terms of Electronic Services.
